Help Win This Campaign

The key to winning this campaign is having enough volunteers involved in the signature collection process. People often ask how the campaign is going, how are we doing. We all want it to succeed. Success depends not only on signing the blue petition, but on active participation by everyone who is able to help in any capacity. This is a group of volunteer homeowners and taxpayers and you are welcome to join the campaign and bring in the signatures. What we need most are library volunteers and people willing to circulate petitions. Can you donate 2 hours at a library? Can you take a petition into the office? How about some exercise walking a petition around your block to your neighbors? Or calling your friends and coordinating a group to sign? Many people are willing to sign, if just presented with the opportunity.

One petition holds up to 25 names, and they may be picked up at Code Blue Schools headquarters:

The folks there will gladly explain what you need to know regarding handling the petition, and provide you with an instruction sheet. You must be a property owner in the FWCS district, and you must also be a signer of the petition. (See the Frequently Asked Questions for more info). Once the signatures are collected, return the petition and they can notarize it there. You may sign a petition at this office as well.

Petitions may also be picked up, returned to, notarized or signed at Professional Park West, Suite 200, 4646 West Jefferson Blvd, 8am - 5pm.

Please don't wait for someone else to win the battle for you. Only 32 days (July 2 deadline) determines project spending and the taxes you may be paying for the next 25 years. And possibly the fate of several elementary schools which are slated to be demolished by this project!
